Thousand Islands

I've had a few opportunities to visit Thousand Islands over the last few years. It is an interesting section of the St Lawrence that is bespeckled with small rocky islands. The river is a passage way for a large number of ship. Over the years there have been many mishaps that have littered the riverbed with wrecks. Now this location is not only picturesque top side, but is also a large draw for wreck divers. Moving water, like rivers, rarely develop theromclines. Thus the summertime water temperatures are over 70 degrees top to bottom.
